Accessibility Statement

CRHSA advocates for communities that are too often left out. That commitment extends to this website: we want every visitor, including people with disabilities, to be able to read our work, follow active legislation, and get involved.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and California's Unruh Civil Rights Act.

Measures we take

• Text alternatives on meaningful images, including photographs and the CRHSA logo
• Color contrast designed to meet AA ratios in both light and dark modes
• A "Skip to main content" link and logical heading structure for screen readers
• Keyboard-operable navigation, accordions, forms, and the Get Involved dialog
• Visible focus indicators on form fields and controls
• Form labels, required-field markers, and clear inline error messages
• ARIA labels on icon-only controls such as the carousel arrows and dialog close button
• No content that flashes more than three times per second

Known limitations

Some third-party content we link to, including PDFs of press releases and external news articles, may not fully meet accessibility standards. We are working to provide accessible alternatives; contact us if you need one.
